Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2
The TSI Assessment (TSIA2) is part of the Texas Success Initiative program designed to help your college or university determine if you are ready for college-level course work in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics.
Here at Galena Park CTE ECHS, all students are required to take the TSIA2. All 9th and 10th graders will be scheduled to take the test at least once during the school year. There will also be opportunities for 11th and 12th graders to retake the TSIA2, during a scheduled date or at will.
Every year the students will have multiple opportunities to retake the TSIA2 until they receive the required scores to be considered college-ready. Certain San Jacinto College programs require students to be college-ready before they can begin their college courses. Students must be college-ready in ALL areas to earn either an Associate of Applied Science or an Associate of Arts degree.
